Easy to Follow and Covers the Right Topics

As a programming novice and complete beginner to Spark, I was looking for a book which could bring together topics and principles from an early stage through to a more advanced stage, and be understandable in the process.
This book did a great job of that, providing plenty of easy-to-follow examples throughout and laying everything out in a way which I could easily make sense of and take action on - vitally important being a beginner to this.
I can see myself coming back to this book as reference for a long time.

Useful guide with nice examples

I found this book to be very useful. I am learning Spark by myself and it is rather challenging, but I won't give up. This guide is great for a beginner like me, I can follow it and I have a sense of progress. Examples are clear and understandable, I like the way it is presented. The only thing I think can be improved is the size of the book. I think it can be a bit broader and cover more info, but that is a nitpick. I recommend it for every Spark enthusiast.
